Are you looking for fun Instagram photo locations in Washington DC? Here are a few places to check out in the District!
DC is a fun and diverse city, with a lot to offer when it comes to beautiful backdrops for your travel photos! Here are some of my favorite spots to take photos:
1. Georgetown
Georgetown is one of my favorite spots in the city to take photos because there are so many different spots to choose from in a small area! The waterfront is gorgeous and has great views of D.C. and Rosslyn. The streets are colorful with colonial-style homes that make a beautiful backdrop for any photo!
2. DC Wharf
The Wharf is a newer area of D.C. with a lot of high-end restaurants and shops along the Potomac River. There’s the iconic “Pearl Street” alleyway that makes for a beautiful photo, and lots of boats near the pier to make for a fun nautical backdrop.

3. Chinatown
The Chinatown / Gallery Place has the iconic archway that makes for a really fun photo if you’re willing to shoot in the intersection. Although I only recommend doing so during the red lights! It may seem a little silly but it makes for a fun and colorful scene.
4. CityCenter DC
City Center is the high-end shopping district of D.C. Every season they change the art on the ceiling of the breezeway to a different theme. The last time I went it was winter so they had an “ice” theme, but I’ve also seen a “beach ball” theme and “cherry blossoms” during other times of the year.
CityCenterDC is a place for fashion and dining lovers alike and a fun place to enjoy when you’re in DC!
5. Lincoln Memorial
The Lincoln Memorial is one of my favorite sunrise views! If you go early enough it is completely empty and you can get that iconic photo with no one else there!
